Max Verstappen arrived at Circuit of the Americas with his trademark dry humor, warning that the notoriously bumpy surface of the Texas track will once again push drivers to their physical absolute limits during the United States Grand Prix.

Addressing media in the paddock ahead of the opening practice sessions, the three-time world champion reflected on COTA's challenging track profile, which continues to feature distinct surface undulations despite partial resurfacing efforts over recent seasons.

"Austin is always a fun weekend, but with the bumps here, I'll probably need to order a new spine and become like RoboCop after Sunday," Verstappen joked to reporters. "The track puts incredible strain on the car’s mechanical setup and your body."

Beyond the humor, Red Bull Racing enters the Austin weekend locked in a fierce battle in the Constructors' Championship standings, currently chasing McLaren and Ferrari. With COTA hosting another high-stakes Sprint weekend layout, ride-height optimization and plank-wear management will prove critical under technical scrutiny.

"Our focus is strictly on continuing our momentum, maximizing every opportunity across both the Sprint and the main Grand Prix, and securing as many points as possible," Verstappen emphasized. "It’s going to be a grueling triple-header, but we're ready for the fight."
