LAS VEGAS — On a afternoon where playoff precision was paramount, Chase Briscoe delivered an absolute masterclass in high-speed clean-air execution.

Driving the No. 19 Joe Gibbs Racing Toyota, Briscoe swept both stage victories and led a dominant 175 of 267 laps to claim the South Point 400 at Las Vegas Motor Speedway, making a massive statement as the NASCAR Cup Series postseason heats up.

The victory marked Briscoe’s second Cup win of the season and his first career victory at Las Vegas Motor Speedway. From the drop of the green flag, the No. 19 team demonstrated unmatched long-run pace, controlling restarts and maintaining clean air up front despite navigating intense traffic and late-race caution reshuffles.

While Briscoe sailed smoothly across the finish line, absolute mayhem erupted directly behind him in the fight for the remaining podium spots on the final lap.

Championship leader Kyle Larson, driving the No. 5 Chevrolet, mounted a fierce charge to hold onto second place. Coming out of Turn 4 on the 267th and final lap, Larson's car brushed the outside wall. The contact sent Larson sliding down into Tyler Reddick's No. 45 Toyota, sending Reddick spinning across the tri-oval infield grass.

Despite the high-speed contact, Larson muscled his damaged Chevrolet across the line to secure second place, while Reddick crossed third ahead of Austin Cindric and Ryan Blaney.

"We had a dominant car all day long, but navigating those late laps in traffic with everyone fighting for playoff points was intense," Briscoe said following his victory. "This Joe Gibbs Racing team gave me a rocket ship, and sweeping the stages makes this one extra special."

For Larson, the dramatic second-place finish expanded his overall championship lead. His primary points challenger, Denny Hamlin—who started from the pole—faced a tumultuous race and finished 16th, allowing Larson to extend his championship advantage to 40 points.

Post-race technical inspection was completed at Las Vegas Motor Speedway with no issues found for Briscoe’s No. 19 Toyota, officially validating the win as teams now turn their attention to the next round of the postseason grid.
